Greetings! By way of introduction: I’ve been a Unitarian Universalist since Paul and I joined the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, NJ in 1992. We’d just moved from New York City where I’d lived all my life, and we were looking for a way to feel part of the new and somewhat alien-feeling world of the suburbs community. As members there, Paul and I co-led several adult classes as well as About Your Sexuality (precursor to OWL). I led writing groups for women, was advisor to the youth group, served on the board, and was a member of a wonderful intergenerational women’s group. I’ve earned a living in diverse lines of work: waitress, chef, caterer, house painter, college teacher (writing and literature), technical writer and computer trainer at the UN, journalist, and administrator of a shared residence for senior citizens. I am a writer and artist (primarily print making), a gallery artist the South Shore Art Center in Cohasset and a member of the Cambridge Art Association. Currently my primary occupation and passion is making art. Deedee Agee Sprecher |
